A child being active and full of energy is always a joy, but having a hyperactive kid who cannot be calmed at home or school needs to be evaluated for ADHD.
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that can significantly impact a kid's daily lives. As a parent, understanding ADHD and knowing how to support your child is crucial for their well-being and success. Here’s what you need to know.

ADHD is characterized by three main types of symptoms:

    • Difficulty listening when spoken to directly

Hyperactivity: Excessive movement fidgeting, or an inability to stay still.
    Symptoms include:

    • Fidgeting or tapping hands or feet
    • Inability to remain seated in situations where it is expected
    • Running or climbing in inappropriate situations
    • Inability to play or engage in activities quietly

Impulsivity: Hasty actions without forethought, often resulting in harm or difficulties.
    Symptoms include:

    • Interrupting or intruding on others
    • Difficulty waiting for one's turn
    • Blurting out answers before questions have been completed.

Medication and behavioral therapy can  significantly help your child navigate their challenges and thrive.
